These are the people behind Fletchers and a little bit about them.
Managing Director

About me
Rob was admitted as a solicitor in March 1979 and has practiced in the Southport and Liverpool area since then. Rob has always focused on litigation matters and broke away from a general practice in 1987 to create Fletchers as a specialist litigation practice. Robs interest in motorcycling and in particular classic bikes (of which he admits to owning 6), led the firm into the area of motorcycle accident claims. Fletchers are now recognised as probably the UK's premier motorcycle claims solicitors dedicated to fighting for bikers after an accident. As a result of the serious injuries often suffered by motorcyclists, Rob and the firm have developed great expertise in handling personal injury cases of the upmost severity. Rob has been sitting as a district judge in the county court for the last 16 years and last year was accredited as a mediator. Rob sees Alternative Dispute Resolution as an important way forward in client handling.
Rob enjoys cycling, golf, ballroom dance and travel, having recently completed a cycling trip to Poland from the UK in aid of charity. Rob is the 2008 captain of the Hesketh Golf Club which hosts the Junior Open in July this year (2008). He also enjoys weekend breaks in Italy and is fluent in the language.

About me
Ed Fletcher, Director and head of the Spinalaw team at Fletchers Solicitors has a unique insight into the needs of spinally injured people, having completely severed his spinal cord at T9/10.
Following his accident Ed took a decision to dedicate his working life to fighting solely for the spinally injured.
Ed is on the recommended solicitors lists of both the Spinal Injuries Association and Headway, the national brain injury charity. Ed is a senior litigator member of APIL and past treasurer of the Merseyside SIA group.
Ed is chairman of the North- West Spinal Injuries Centre Patient Group and via a programme run by the charity 'Back-Up' mentors young people who have recently sustained spinal cord injury.
In addition to fighting for those with spinal injury, Ed also likes to push his physical abilities to the limit by competing in various sporting events. He is currently a member of the Disabled Team GB Triathlon Squad and enjoys hand cycling, swimming and skiing.
